What would you do if the sky did fall?
What would you do if you were buried in 3 ft. of snow by two storms in eight days like the folks in Colorado?
What would you do if there was a dirty bomb attack in your area?
What would you do if there was an out break of bird flu?
What would you do if there was a terrorist attack that shut down the infrastructure of your town?
Do you have a plan?
Billions of your tax dollars have been spent on Homeland Security and one of the positive results is at www.ready.gov
There are 3 basics steps to being prepared for Natural or Man-made disasters.
Get a kit. When preparing for a possible emergency situation, it's best to think first about the basics of survival: fresh water, food,
clean air and warmth.
Make a plan.Your family may not be together when disaster strikes, so it is important to plan in advance: how you will contact one another;
how you will get back together; and what you will do in different situations.
Be informed. Some of the things you can do to prepare for the unexpected, such as making an emergency supply kit and developing a family
communications plan, are the same for both a natural or man-made emergency.
Do yourself and your family a huge service by reviewing this site and being ready for whatever might happen as the world becomes a less safe place
live.
Have a wonderful New Year!

New Year - New Look
With the New Year every one and their cousin is talking about new things and New Year's resolutions. Companies compete to spring new images and
products on you. Some, whether you want it or not.
We all seem to look for (or offer) new improvements - which has led to us talking to new people we can't understand half way around the world to
fix our new gadgets that we can't get to work the same old way we're used to right here in Oklahoma. Well, for the New Year we thought we'd give
you the same old thing we have always strove for - good old fashioned excellence in customer service you simply can't get elsewhere at any price!
New software and new updates are meant as an improvement, but new can mean confusion for those of us looking for where we used to click to get
something done. For example Internet Explorer 7. New buttons and a new look which has the same old functions buried somewhere under all that
improvement. We've already looked into it for you.
Internet Explore 7 has recently been released under the windows updates and there have been some issues regarding dial up connections. Do not
get us wrong, it has some really neat upgrades that could come in handy. But we may need to help with some of the settings - and just like last
year, we're here for you.
Simple is good. A redesigned, streamlined interface gives you more of what you need and less of what you don't. The new look maximizes the area
of the screen that displays web pages. You can open multiple websites in one Internet Explorer window with tabbed browsing, see thumbnail
images of all open tabs in a single view, and organize multiple tabs into a single tab group as well as save it as a favorite.
IE 7 automatically shrinks text for improved printing, so all webpage content fits on your final printed page. Print options also include
adjustable margins, customizable page layouts, removable headers and footers and changeable print space.
Tired of looking for the latest news and information on the web? IE 7 can deliver the latest updates from your favorite sites to you. Subscribe
to RSS feeds through IE 7, and get instant access to personalized sports, news, and shopping feeds that keep you up to date on the latest
information online.
Search the Internet directly from the browser frame using your favorite search provider with the instant search box. The robust new architecture
and improved security features help protect you against malicious software and help to keep your personal data safe from fraudulent websites and
online phishing scams. You can go to www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/support/default.mspx
to get more info on Internet Explorer 7.
Now that we have covered new features and what they can do for you let's talk about a problem you may run into. For one thing all the buttons
and tool bars you are used to are gone! Don't panic. It's all still there - its just tucked away out of site. Call us and we'll help even if it
isn't our software.
Next we have discovered that Internet Explorer 7 has an issue with dial up connections. It seems that IE 7 was built around high speed
connection. Once you update to IE 7 you may not be able to browse web pages. You can actually fix this right at home:
Open Internet Explorer, click the Tools button, and then click Internet Options.
1. Click the Connections tab.
2. Click the first entry in the Dialup and Virtual Private Networks list, and then click Settings.
3. Select the automatically detect settings check box, and then click OK.
4. Repeat the previous two steps for each entry in the Dialup and Virtual Private Networks list.
5. Click the LAN Settings button in the Connections tab, and repeat steps 4-6. Click OK on the Connections
tab.
6. Close Internet Explorer, and then restart it.
We have also found that if you delete the dial up connection on your computer and add it back it will start working again. You may call us at
any time for assistance in this area as well.
Happy New Year!
