Identity Theft?
Are you or your children a victim of Identity theft? How would you know? One of the most prevalent ways of
stealing your identity is when the thief steals just your Social Security Number. How can you know someone is
using your SSN? You could pay $4.95 for a one time report like I did at checkmyssn.com
Here is how it works:
- Simply submit your name and SSN in our SECURE form.
- You will instantly receive your personal SSN history report.
- Carefully review your report.
- If your SSN report shows items you don't identify (i.e. Names, Addresses), you may be at risk of
theft or fraud. Take ACTION NOW; follow the steps we've outlined!
By the way I found two names on my report that I didn.t recognize!
Another resource you might find helpful is:
Identity Theft Resource Center®, Nonprofit Organization
Identity Theft Resource Center® (ITRC) is a nonprofit, nationally respected organization dedicated exclusively
to the understanding and prevention of identity theft. The ITRC provides consumer and victim support as well as
public education. The ITRC also advises governmental agencies, legislators, law enforcement, and businesses about
the evolving and growing problem of identity theft.
Identity Theft is a crime in which an imposter obtains key pieces of personal identifying information
(PII) such as Social Security numbers and driver's license numbers and uses them for their own personal gain. This is called
ID Theft. It can start with lost or stolen wallets, pilfered mail, a data breach, computer virus, phishing, a
scam, or paper documents thrown out by you or a business (dumpster diving). This crime varies widely, and can
include check fraud, credit card fraud, financial identity theft, criminal identity theft, governmental identity
theft, and identity fraud.
We invite you to visit our website. Some of our more popular pages are breach list, scam alerts,
assistance on lost/stolen
wallets, victim issues, medical
identity theft, victim
support, victim impact
studies (statistics), and identity theft in
the workplace. We hope to help you identify WHO's in YOUR Wallet?

Something for nothing...
The internet was supposed to have a wealth of free knowledge and services. It was to be an exchange of
information and a sharing of resources. But as you well know there is little that is "free" or "shared" on the
net these days. Everyone wants to sell you the "free" item or have you fill out 40 pages of surveys to "share"
anything with you. What they will share is the tons of spam and junk mail after you fill out all of the forms.
At oklahomacity.craigslist.org/zip you will find local
postings of
things to just go pick up. Or there are places like freecycle.org that are
devoted to free swapping of all sorts of things (a friend traded a computer for a car once!). A few months ago our newsletter told you about
kijiji.com, but did you notice they also have a "free stuff" link? I
did, and got a futon for someone moving into a new apartment.
There are more options available out there. You can get free samples of baby products at
babyzone.com, coupons and shopping discounts can be found at
okc.about.com, and free catalogs for everything
imaginable at catalogs.com or freecatalogs.com.
The point is that there are still free things out there and we love to share them. Do you know of any cool
sites where you can get something for nothing? Let us know! We'd love to pass it along and share the wealth.
